In June of 2026, LANSONWORKS purchased the TheMadeInTheUSACity.com domain and committed to donating the domain to the City of Coshocton so their team can develop a marketing campaign/website for their use.

In August of 2026, Lance and Samson volunteered time to plant trees in Coshocton as part of a grant that was provided that will allow 800 trees to given to Coshocton. We setup HelpCoshoctonPlantTrees.com in early September 2026 as a helpful site to highlight the progress of this effort, and provide information for residents that would like to volunteer, or have a tree planted.

On May 12, 2026, Samson Hall donate $50 to the new Applied Machining Program that is set to open up in the fall of 2026. Lance Hall matched that for a total of $100 and made a formal donation. It is our desire to help promote awareness of this new facility during the Coshocton Train Show

The planning of the Coshocton Train Show has a major focus on giving the proceeds of the event (vendor tables + admissions and general donations from the food/drink/snack stand) to the Coshocton Model Railroad Club. They are officially known as AMREC - Associated Model Railroad Engineers of Coshocton. It is our hope to have this be a yearly event that takes place on the 3rd Saturday of October, and grows into a staple train show in the local/regional model railroading community.

Specifically the Applied Machining & Advanced Manufacturing Program, as it is a new offerring starting in the fall of 2026. This will provide students with skills in machining and manufacturing technology, covering areas such as FANUC CNC programming, robotic technology, precision measurement, advanced manufacturing techniques, CAD/CAM design and 3D printing, preparing students for roles in industries where precision and efficiency in manufacturing are in demand.

We will have a donation jar setup at the show specifically for this program:

At the show, there is a scavenger hunt style game that is themed aroun the CoshoctonPlus6.com site to educate and highlight railroading in the "East Central Ohio" area (Specifically Coshocton, Holmes, Tuscarawas, Guernsey, Muskingum, Licking and Knox counties.

Kids that find all the county cards and check them off their list can grab something from the school supply bin for free!

The Coshocton Train Show will ALWAYS have a free table available for hobby shops to place flyers, cards for free to advertise. We always intend to like and share various things related these shops on social media, and make mention of them during various audio announcements at the train show. If any hobby shop is interested in sending stuff to the train show, click here and let us know!

We want vendors and guests of the Coshocton Train show to know about the great restaurants that are locally owned/operated!

Spreading the word about other events that are happening is a great way to help bring awareness as to what else is going on in Coshocton.

Coshocton has some excellent hotels and places to stay, and we intend to keep highlighting these!

So far since the launch we have given away around $75 worth of free train stuff!

The simple observation that Coshocton + the 6 wonderful counties that surround us in a clockwise manner (Holmes, Tuscarawas, Guernsey, Muskingum, Licking and Knox) make up a great region in east-central Ohio that has a lot of railroading experiences within a very short drive from Coshocton's center. The CoshoctonPlus6 effort is to list, highlight and promote (for free) these local gems.

Each year we will plant real trees based on a percentage of the sales from the ForestArray SYSTEM™

Each sale of anything JOHNS-LAB related will have 8.7% donated to FXTAS Research Fund at the UC Davis MIND Institute, to support research into the causes and a possible cure for Fragile X-Associated Ataxia and Tremor Syndrome. Thank you John Kunzie.

This is our community campaign meant to bring ideas into simple statements. Each statement has a simple phrase such as Model Railroading Is Sharing, or Model Railroading Is Fellowship, or Model Railroading Is Exploring History for example. We promote this idea online, and at train shows as a way to not only spark up conversations, but show real information and sources linked to this ideas so that people can benefit from them.
